Privacy and terms
Written on 2026-09-08. This page says what Alikin keeps about you, why, who sees it, for how long, and how to have it deleted.
Who we are
Alikin is run by a small team in the United States. You can reach a person at Alikin at hello@alikin.app for anything on this page, including deletion.
What we keep, and why
When you send a request, this is everything we store about it.

We never store your IP address, your name, your phone number, your date of birth, your precise location, or anything that fingerprints your browser. The web server keeps its ordinary access logs, and they are never joined to what you wrote. A Cloudflare check runs when you send your request, to keep automated traffic out. It does not identify you to us.
Who sees it
Alikin's AI reads what you write, and a person at Alikin reads every request. These are the companies whose systems touch it.
- Anthropic. Its Claude models read what you wrote to draw out the matching fields and to write the summary you confirm. Anthropic holds those inputs for up to 30 days and does not use them to train its models.
- Render. Hosts the site and the database, and keeps backups of it.
- Resend. Sends the confirmation email. It sees your email address and the email's text, and nothing you wrote in the box.
- PostHog. Counts what happens on the page: a page seen, a request started, sent, finished, corrected. It records no screen, no typing and no text, and it never identifies you.
- Google. Holds the spreadsheet a person at Alikin reads requests in. Your words and your email address are in it.
Your data sits in the United States. It travels over encrypted connections and is stored encrypted.
How long we keep it
We keep your request for 12 months from the day you sent it, then delete the whole thing, your words included. Deletion removes it from our database and from the spreadsheet. Render's backups can hold a copy for a short while after that, which is why we say 30 days below rather than the same day.
How to have it deleted sooner
Email hello@alikin.app from the address you gave us. We delete every request under that address within 30 days and reply to confirm. You can also email us to see what we hold about you or to have something corrected.
If you left your email before the page opened
Before this page opened, an earlier version of it let you leave your email address so we could write to you the day you could send a request. We keep that address until you unsubscribe or email us to delete it. Unsubscribe from the link in that email at any time, and the address is gone.
What we never do
We never sell your data and never use it for targeted advertising. Nobody can buy access to you. We may share what we learn across many requests, in aggregate, and never your words or anything that could point to you.
Who Alikin is for
Alikin is for adults 18+. It is peer support, not therapy, and not a crisis service. If you are in crisis now, call or text 988 in the United States, or contact your local emergency services. A person reads your request within 7 days, not straight away.
